DoTucson.com
and Clear Channel Sign Co-Marketing Agreement
Tucson,
July 2, 2001-DoTucson.com and Clear Channel Radio of Tucson
announced today that they have signed a partnership to co-market
their respective products. In the agreement the companies
will share revenues generated on DoTucson-based products,
which will be promoted through Clear Channel radio stations.
DoTucson
operates www.DoTucson.com, Tucson's most comprehensive online
guide to local entertainment, events, and service businesses.
Since launching its web site in February 2000, the company
has seen a steady increase in both audience and advertisers.
The site currently averages 5,000 visitors per day, and
services the Internet marketing needs of more than 200 local
businesses and organizations.
Clear
Channel Radio of Tucson owns and operates four Tucson radio
stations: 97.1 FM KWFM, 790 AM KNST, 93.7 FM KRQQ, and 92.9
FM KOYT. Clear Channel has also purchased 98.3 KOHT, 1450
AM KTZR and 1600 AM KXEW and will close on the properties
3rd quarter of 2001.
One
of the partnership's first ventures is DoCelebrate, an online
weddings/events-planning service on DoTucson.com, debuted
Sunday at 93.7 KRQ's third annual bridal fair at the Westin
La Paloma. More than 2,000 people attended the event, which
showcased nearly 100 wedding-related vendors. (For more

"As a company based around an evolving medium, we sought
to extend our reach in the community by partnering with
a more established medium," said Brian Molina, DoTucson
CEO. "Upon talking with Clear Channel's Tucson team, we
felt there was opportunity for a mutually beneficial relationship
between the two companies."
"After meeting with the staff at DoTucson we felt that there
would be abundant synergistic opportunities in both the
marketing and sales arenas by combining the enormous reach
of Clear Channels radio stations with the comprehensiveness
of the DoTucson site," said Todd Lawley, Clear Channel Tucson's
Director of Sales.
Tucsonans
Kermit Austin, Brian Molina, and Curtis Gunn founded DoTucson
in 1999. In response to audience demand, the guide has grown
from its original offerings of dining, nightlife, shopping,
and visitor information to include more than 100 individual
categories accessible under the nine sections of the guide.
Viewers can find everything from Tucson's most comprehensive
events calendar (6,000+ listings), to restaurant menus,
golf course listings, movie times, classified ads, and even
an online events/concert box office.
