Programs
Girl
Talk/Guy Talk (GT) Prevention Programs. Middle school youth
learn skills to help them resist sexual activity, drug and alcohol
use. Students are taught how to build strong futures
in fun, gender-separate, afterschool clubs.

Young
Fathers' Program
assists
young
fathers in accessing community services, establishing paternity,
learning parenting and life skills, and building a lifelong
commitment to their children.
Pre-Adolescent
Diversion Program serves
children (ages 8 to 14) who had been referred by Pima County
Juvenile Court. Over four weeks, these children and their family
members learn new strategies to manage anger, solve problems
and improve communication.
Kidline:
School-age children, who
may be home alone or may just need someone to talk to, call
this free phone line to receive support, information and assistance

Partnership provides services that nourish the potential
of individuals and families and strengthen the capacity of organizations
on Tucson's Southside.

Support Service
Sick
Child Programs
provide in-home care for mildly ill children in child's own
home so parents can meet work responsibilities.
Early
Intervention for Infants & Toddlers
provides home-based intervention for infants,toddlers and their
families who met eligibility criteria set by the Division of
Developmental Disabilities.
The Center for Adolescent Parent (TCAP) is a comprehensive
program offering GED preparation, parenting
and life skill education, career development, and free on-site
child
care to young mothers 16-19.
Choices for Families is a collaboration offering in-home
family services and is designed to provide a continuum of services
that promote positive parenting, enhance family functioning
and assist families in maintaining self sufficiency.

Healthy Families is a home
visitation program which provides support services to families
with newborns. Healthy Families is designed to reduce stress,
enhance family functioning, promote child development and
positive parent-child interaction and minimize the incidence
of child abuse and neglect.
Family
Builders
provides in-home assistance to families referred by Child
Protective Services.
Services
to Children
Educational Intervention for Preschoolers
Children ages 2-5, identified by their teacher, parents or
care giver as having a developmental delay or behavioral concern,
receive developmental support services through the program.
Happy Hours
School-age children participate in
after school activities at 10 TUSD elementary schools. A summer
program is offered at one school site. Before school and extended
kindergarten programs are available at selected locations.
All sited provide care to children with special needs.
The
Child & Adult Care Food Program, reimburses family
child care providers for serving nutritious meals served to
young children in their care. Nutrition training is provided
annually.

Childcare Services
Child
Care Resource & Referral provides referrals to parents
looking for child care, Parents can call (520) 325-5778 or
1-800-308-9000 for referrals. Education is available to assist
parents in the selection of appropriate child care.
Child
Care Home Recruitment encourages child care providers
to earn certification for their family child care settings.
Family
to Family helps enhance the skills of Family Child Care
Providers and improve the learning environments of the children
in their care.
Provider
Education Program
Workshops and on-site technical assistance are available
for child care providers to increase their knowledge of child
care issues and strategies.
