Tombstone,
famous for its 1881 O.K. Corral shootout, lies only an
hour drive away from Tucson. As you walk down the historic
Allen Street you feel as though you have been instantly
transported back to the days of the Old West. The authentic
1880's town is complete with the original buildings and
some of the businesses from this period.
Narrated
horse drawn carriage rides give you a colorful tour of
the town. There are countless museums with each offeing
their own bit of Western history as well as their own
colorful shootout re-enactments. After hours of walking
the settlement, you can sit for a spell at your choice
of saloon, or perhaps get a sandwich at a local deli.
How about a new Stetson to go with that belt buckle you
always wanted? There are an abundant amount of shops to
wander into. Tombstone can satiate every interest, a visitor
might have.
